About Wexham Mowers
Wexham Mowers was started in 1947 by Mr Rutter in the back garden of his semi detached cottage. It soon rapidly expanded taking up part of the next doors garden (the original cottage industry). The company then was predominantly repair and servicing of garden machinery. Mr Rutter passed the company to his son who sold the company to it’s present owners Seamus and Alison Waite in 2000. They kept the company at it’s original premises and had a major clear out to make space for a small showroom for the sale of new machines. They also introduce the facility for credit card payments and a web site.
 Sales of new machines started to grow and it soon became clear that a larger premises would be needed. Finding new premises would not be a easy task as it had been tried before by Mr Rutter snr but due to the change in turnover had to be returned to its original site.
In 2006 Adrian, the owner of Pinewood nurseries a few hundred meters down the road from Wexham mowers approached Seamus and Alison offering some spare space he had in a newly built barn. It seamed an ideal opportunity offering a larger space to create a bigger showroom with better workshop facilities and off street parking which had always been a problem in the past at the old premises being on the main road.
It took a year and a lot of work from both parties, three planning appeals and the relocation of the approach road before Wexham Mower Services Ltd was finally given permission to relocate.
They then had to turn interior of the barn space into a workable area to create a good size showroom and workshop. Then in July 2007 it was time to move the company which opened in August and then officially opened by Brian Conley in September with a huge firework display provided by Blackcat /Standard fireworks.
 Towards the end of 2007 Wexham Mower’s were officially appointed main dealers for Countax Garden Tractors and Echo 2 stroke equipment chain saws etc. They are able to display a large range of Countax tractors and various makes of lawnmowers Hayter, Honda and Lawnflite to name a few on the ground floor show room. On the 1st floor showroom there is a large display of Echo and other makes of garden machinery plus Safety equipment, Oil’s, Spare parts, Garden tools, Chain saw chain’s and for the younger customers there are toy chain saws, strimmers, and ride on tractors.
Wexham Mower Services Ltd prides it self on customer service and glad to help with any queries and questions on any types of garden machines, if it is not in stock they will do there best to get it quickly. They also have a collection and delivery service able to pick up the smallest mower to the largest garden tractor. Also offering a sharpening service. If it can be sharpened they can do it - from kitchen knives, secetures, shears, chain saws, hedge trimmers, saw’s, mower blade’s and up to 36” mower cylinders.
All new machines are assembled and ready to use. There is a free delivery service on new machines in a 5 mile radiuses and for garden tractors 15 miles.
